SoulCraft Comics has a number of comic books in development:
With art by Inaki Miranda and color by Eva de la Cruz, TRIBES: THE DOG YEARS is a full color graphic novel in widescreen, so to speak. The horizontal aspect, it is thought, will produce a more immersive experience. I hope our readers agree.
TRIBES: THE DOG YEARS was created by Michael Geszel and Peter Spinetta, with a script by Robert Tinnell and Geszel.
The comic will premiere shortly on the website, with print publication following in 2009.
TOLL RUNNERS, also created by Geszel and Spinetta, and written by Spinetta and Steve Katz is a futuristic racing saga with a teen-rebel heart. SoulCraft plans to preview a number of designs shortly on the web.
GHOST EATERS - Based on a script by Joel Madison and Michael Geszel, this supernatural serial follows a group of teenagers misdiagnosed as insane when in fact need to eat ghosts to stay sane. That is, they can interact with supernatural entities and need to ingest them, thereby righting a mental and phsycal imbalance. Endocrinologist Vincent Nostrum is asked to examine a teenager in the pysch ward of a Boston hospital. After witnessing the teen actually eat a ghost, he develops a theory that a tiny subset of teenagers diagnosed with schizophrenia are actually Ghost Eaters and bear almost undetectable physiological mutations. He sets out to find other teens misdiagnosed as mentally ill who bear the hallmarks of this “condition” and moves to Seattle to create a safe house for these kids with the aim of finding a “cure.”
Our webcomic premieres later this year.
Envisioned as a seven-issue limited series, VINES is best described as a supernatural horror rollercoaster about “the jungle coming to the city. ” SoulCraft is lucky to be working with writer Ben McCool, as long as we keep him well supplied with tinnies….
