Pfff, the church need even less the last 1000 years to kill ppl, so why not a ducktoy as a speaking tube for the will of the gods. Just as long as there´s not too much change in balance of power and not too much hope from another source than from church… err, from shaman.
Blinzler- Agree with your comment about the narration, especially in the last panel. That will be removed. Had decided to cut it but didn’t want to bug the letterer right now.

Hoo boy. Now, is the shaman divining what he wants to happen, or what he feels the chief wants? Not that it makes much difference to poor Doc Adam…

I don’t reckon you could divine all that from a duck spinning over a pile of stones.
“Yeah, duck reckons you should burn the doc. Also that the shaman needs a pay rise”
Definately worth it for the girl outside just pulling one of the greatest “whaaaaa?” faces of all time.

Hm, I see a rocket in the near future.
Also – not sure if the narrator style comments add to the comic. I’d have left them out.

Spoken like a true shaman.
History repeats itself. I think it’s safe to say that this is going to “blow up” in their face…
