The Headhunter Camp

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

A bizarre complex of amusement park relics scattered around a mountain of discarded metal that may have once been a junkyard.  It is here that the rivals of the Sky Shadows base themselves.

To someone who recognizes an amusement park for what it is, the Headhunters choice of raw materials for their village would be profoundly ironic, yet to the bands of people who survive, they are nightmarish and frightening.  Their Chief rules from a throne marked “House of Horrors” and decorated with a massive evil clown’s face.  Their weapons appear to be cobbled together from spare parts taken from carnival rides.  The twisting path to their camp is marked with skulls on posts.

It is not known if the Headhunters purposefully chose an abandoned amusement park because they understood its significance.  What Sundog realizes is that the Headhunters have changed – they are more organized and travel in larger packs, a sure sign they have evolved from scavengers and pests to something more sinister, more dangerous.

What are the Headhunters plans?

Headhunter Chief and His Skull Throne

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

The Headhunters seem to be in the midst of deploying a sophisticated multi-layered plan to decimate their rivals.  They are able to do this because of the clever mind of their Chief, who rules from a throne built from spare parts left behind by a carnival.

A madman and his fun house – in this case, no laughing matter, for the Headhunters show no mercy and no remorse but live only for the cannibalization of other tribes.  These marauders now have a base camp from which to launch their attacks and in which they commemorate their victories.  Have they met their match in the Sky Shadows?

Find out in Tribes: The Dog Years, the new color comic book coming November 1 to SoulCraftComics.com.
