For a people reeling from the loss of one civilization, building a new culture has its own challenges. Of all the scattered bands of humanity in North America, the Sky Shadow Tribe of the Pacific Northwest may be one of the few that is succeeding.
The Sky Shadow village is an obvious target for the maurading Headhunters that compete with Sundog, Fallingstar and Rockjumper for the resources of their home. Despite their plight, the Sky Shadows either believe or expect redemption, as everything about their tribe is a symbol of fearful survival.

The jagged shell of a technological society looms over a dilapidated landscape in the world of Tribes: The Dog Years, the new color comic book series from SoulCraft Comics.
Seattle and its environs have been particularly hard hit, as the combination of neglect and relentless inclemency have rendered a ghoulish cityscape where once stood one of the most beautiful urban areas in the world.
The questions that have not been answered are the most troubling. Rain and wind and even snow could not have pulverized the city’s buildings, yet there are no signs of what did it. Could a war have preceded the miseries of the Sky Shadows and others? If so, could that conflict still threaten Sundog and his comrades?
As dire as such danger might be, Sundog and Fallingstar cannot turn aside from their quest. An answer must be found to their affliction, or the human race may never be restored to its full stature. The buildings of these once mighty cities inspire our intrepid young hunter, Sundog. Though he may never live to see such wonders, his courage may yet lead his descendents to one day build new cities upon these ruins and return humanity to its old glory.
