Anyway, he…it…is the demonic godhead of a ancient Mayan cult, which is resurrected in present-day New York City, unleashing like a plague a dense jungle onto one of man’s most modern landscapes.  The JUNGLE  comes to the CITY in METNAL: VINES OF HELL.     Hm, it seems to have skinned itself. That or he’s suffering from near-terminal sun burn.
    But yes, the comic sounds like a blast

    The character design reminds me of the Skeksis in Jim Henson’s THE DARK CRYSTAL.
